Summer Sewing Camps

2-Day, 3-Day or 5-Day Camps

Sewing classes are the coolest way to spend hot summer days! Summer Camp schedules are based on the Monday-Friday calendar weeks from the first full week of June through the third week of August, with a choice of morning (9:30am-12:30pm) or afternoon (1:30-4:30pm ) sessions Camp classes are in session all summer, except for July 4.

Our only scheduling restrictions are that new students attend at least one 2-Day Camp and begin their first class early in the week, on a Monday or Tuesday.

2-Day Camp : $130

In the 2-Day Sewing Camp (Tuesdays and Thursdays), new students learn sewing machine operation/safety in the first day of , with time allowed to complete two of the three easy starter projects – a belt and a small drawstring bag. This is perfect for new students trying out sewing for the first time to see if they enjoy it enough to return for more classes.

3-Day Camp : $195

In the 3-Day Sewing Camp, new students learn sewing machine operation/safety, and complete all three of the easy starter projects – a belt and a small drawstring bag and a larger bag. Then, in any future sewing camps/classes, they may choose their next sewing projects according to their age and skill level. This camp series is designed to give new students a full orientation on sewing machine skills and basic sewing construction; they would then be ready to continue developing new skills and techniques in future sewing classes or under the supervision of an experienced adult sewer . . . And they will then be ready to enjoy the creative freedom to choose their sewing projects.

5-day Camp : $325

The 5-Day Sewing Camp series gives new students a full orientation on sewing machine skills and basic construction techniques. After completing the starter projects, they will have about two camp sessions for choosing another project. Students attending the 5-Day Camps get to experience more of the satisfaction that comes with achievement. They will have moved a little further beyond just the basic discipline for handling a sewing machine to greater appreciation for the sewing process and the creative range of the sewing arts!
